• Decided on reading The Language Instinct by Steven Pinker next. About how humans are hard wired for language. Sounds like fun. #
• These anti health care reform people scare me. Less yelling and more listening people. Wow. #
• Do they seriously think Obama wants to kill old people and force abortions? What? #
• The Language Instinct is going to be good. Pinker promises to show how our language does not influence how we perceive reality. #
• Language isn't the process of thinking, it's just one of the things these particular thinking things do. #
• I managed to spot a few meteors through the Los Angeles haze. Sometimes I miss the clear, dark sky of Colorado. #
• Having no vehicle in Los Angeles is a little scary. My choices are a 2 hour bus ride or a train ride through the heart of Watts. #
